Eileen Bild shares some thoughts on the meaning of life…
Do you ever think about the meaning of life?
Purpose, mission, passion, the middle space between now …and the time of transition?
We do things to be “someone” in the eyes of the world… whether it be our partner, parents, friends, strangers.
In the footsteps of time and our journey, we are the only one who knows our value, what has meaning for us in life, the importance of our experiences and the choice to shine or stay back in the shadows.
No matter the unfoldment of today – there is tomorrow, in which we can reflect, quiet the mind and allow the solitude of the heart to speak to us.
The whisper is louder than words and spills into peace & serenity in a knowing that is filled with wisdom, knowledge and understanding. As the Native American Q’ero Indians say:
“Looking behind I am filled with gratitude.
Looking forward I am filled with vision.
Looking upwards I am filled with strength.
Looking within I discover peace.”
When we look at LIFE… we can have the feeling of excitement, possibility, vision of the future. There is so much to explore, try new things and bring new adventures into our experiences.
We are but a blip in time in the grand scheme of the universe. I don’t think we will ever know the “truth” of where all of LIFE has come from, yet we do know there is a constant state of evolution, both within man/woman, science, spirituality and how it all works together moving forward.
I like to look at the meaning of life as an opportunity to know who I am, what makes my heart sing, where I can be the most successful both in my personal and professional life. There is so much to discover and create. By honoring my authentic self, realizing the things that bring me joy and happiness, I can empower myself to live life to the fullest.
After we are born, we are thrown into the mix of the outer world and the inner world. Trying to make sense of it all can take perseverance, overcoming challenges/obstacles, strength and courage.
I have learned not to take things personally.
I have learned to listen to my own intuition and follow my own guidance.
I have learned to not have expectations as they can often lead to disappointment.
I have learned that life is magical, mystical, and something sacred to hold onto, to nurture and admire.
What we want to know, we already have the knowledge, it is just bringing it to the surface with confidence.
I have learned to speak my voice without fear.
I have learned to set boundaries for others to respect who I am.
I have learned that I am not always right and it is okay to admit mistakes.
I have learned to affirm my right to life and not judge others, as I ask them not to judge me for who I am.
Being on purpose in our passion is giving us the freedom to be. To be our true, authentic self and walk this wonderful earth of ours with our head high, clarity of our future, and the courage to walk our own stepping stones that are set before us.
I leave you with this message:
You know yourself better than anyone else. Focus on those things that are there for you to see the miracles and wonders that are for and in you. Spread your wings and be a butterfly, and set yourself free, so your life can be at peace, loving and joyful, the way it is meant to be. That is the meaning of life.
