Er… so what is a lifehack, exactly?
The expression life hack was coined in 2004 by tech. journalist Danny O’Brien. According to Wikipedia the word lifehack was subsequently voted runner-up for “most useful word of 2005” behind podcast. It was later added to the Oxford Dictionaries Online in June 2011, making it an ‘official’ part of the English language!
Originally used to refer to scripts and shortcuts that IT professionals use, it has now come to mean any “trick, shortcut, skill, or novelty method that increases productivity and efficiency, in all walks of life”.
